A focused compatibility fix is available in v2.1.9.

This was not a Free/Go plan limitation. Current Codex Responses Lite can advertise its native freeform exec tool inside the default functions namespace; the bridge parser was dropping that declaration, so the connector reached the runtime without any command tool to dispatch. v2.1.9 preserves that exact native declaration and returns the matching custom tool call without synthesizing a fallback.

Please upgrade to v2.1.9, restart Codex so it uses the new runtime, and retry the same Get-Location / git commands. If it still fails, reply with the fresh error from v2.1.9.
