Nimrod Desktop 1.1.0 — hooks, macOS, and Linux

The full research toolkit, now on every desktop platform:

  • New: search-coach hooks. Two Claude Code hooks install automatically — search-craft fires before every google_search and research-scope before every research_topic, injecting query-crafting and scoping guidance so every metered call is a considered one. Registered and removed cleanly in ~/.claude/settings.json; your existing hooks are never touched.
  • New: macOS build — nimrod-desktop-macos is a universal binary (Apple Silicon + Intel). chmod +x it, then run xattr -d com.apple.quarantine nimrod-desktop-macos once (not yet Apple-signed).
  • New: Linux build — nimrod-desktop-linux (x86_64, glibc 2.35+).
  • nimrod.mcpb for Claude Desktop on Windows (double-click, paste key).

Setup: run nimrod-desktop setup with your key from https://nimrod.orchis.ai/portal (new accounts get a free 50-credit trial), then claude mcp add nimrod -- /path/to/nimrod-desktop. Six research skills, a deep-research agent, and the hooks install themselves on first run; nimrod-desktop uninstall removes everything.

Search is metered (1 credit = 1 search). Webpage extraction and research synthesis run on your machine — free, and the pages you read never transit our servers.
