This version of tcludp has been created to allow users of JavaPOS-SPF to work with driver samples included in JavaPOS-SPF which use UDP communication, are written in Tck/Tk and therefore need a UDP extension. Since the UDP extension that can be downloaded from Sourceforge does neither work with current 64-bit versions nor with 32-bit version 9.0.0 or above, I started this project to provide binary working version for Windows (Intel / AMD, 32 and 64 bit).
For easy handling of the different binaries in combination with 32 or 64 bit versions for Tcl version 8.x or 9.x, folder MSys contains pkgIndex.tcl. This script can be copied together with the three folders Tcl-32, Tcl8-64 and Tcl9-64 (which are part of the binary distribution) into a folder named udp1.1. Afterwords copy folder udp1.1 to the lib folder of your tcl installation. This allows to use command package require udp to load the udp package easily.
Unfortunately, I did not find the Tcl UDP extension master on Github. Therefore, this is a by-hand copy of the files stored in https://core.tcl-lang.org/tcludp. In addition, creating a fork was impossible. In fact, this project provides a snapshot of the tcludp project, created around feb. 2025, with some fixes in folder generic, and an additional folder, MSys, that can be used to generate binary versions of the UDP Tcl extension with VSCodium / MSys.
