Release list
v2.0.0
A major release: prompt templates, editor keys, a global hotkey, per-project drafts and more. It's a major version because a few things from v1.0.0 work differently, so please read Upgrading from v1.0.0 before the first launch.
⚠️ Breaking changes
- The audit prompt is replaced by prompt templates. Insert Audit Prompt and its Edit… are now the Template group. The built-in CLAUDE.md Compliance template does the same job. A reworded v1.0.0 audit prompt is not carried over (see below).
- Log CLAUDE.md Update is now Log Edits, next to a new Log New File….
- The Model box shows this project's last logged model, not the last one logged in any project. It's in italics while it holds anything else.
Transcripts (AI_TRANSCRIPT.txt) and every other setting carry over unchanged.
Upgrading from v1.0.0
- Only if you reworded the audit prompt: before running v2.0.0, open
%AppData%\TranscriptBuilder\settings.jsonand copy theCustomAuditPromptTextvalue. v2.0.0 drops it the first time it saves settings (at the latest when you close the window). - Close the app, then replace your old
ClaudeCodeTranscriptBuilder-win-x64.exewith this one. - If you copied a reworded prompt, go to Template → Edit… → New and paste it in.
New
- Prompt templates: save prompts you reuse and insert one in a click, as one undoable edit. They come with two built-ins, CLAUDE.md Compliance and Wrap-Up Check. Templates support
<placeholders>(F3jumps to the next one) and are stored as plain.mdfiles. - CLAUDE.md change tracking: Log New File… swaps in a different
CLAUDE.md, logging any unlogged edits to the old one first. Unlogged edits are flagged when the window regains focus. - Editor keys: Tab/Shift+Tab indent, Enter keeps the indent, Alt+Up/Down moves lines, Ctrl+Shift+K deletes them, and Backspace deletes back to the previous indent stop.
F1lists every shortcut. - Global hotkey (
Ctrl+Shift+Alt+Space, changeable or off): brings the app forward from anywhere, then returns focus to the window you came from after you log. - Keep on Top, drafts kept per project, windows titled by project, and one window per project, so two windows can't log the same prompt number.
- Window: centered on launch, a minimum size that never cuts off the top bar, the full project path on hover, and no white flash at launch in dark mode.
Fixes
- After its reminder pulse, the Model Log button no longer stays looking hovered in light mode.

Full changelog: v1.0.0...v2.0.0
v1.0.0
First public release of Claude Code Transcript Builder: a standalone Windows desktop app that keeps a verbatim, chronologically-ordered record of every prompt you give Claude Code, in an AI_TRANSCRIPT.txt at your project root. It uses no tokens and runs fully offline.
Highlights
- Verbatim logging: each prompt is appended under a numbered heading with UTC and local (DST-aware) timestamps, then copied back to your clipboard so you can paste it straight into the terminal.
- Resume anywhere: numbering is re-derived from the file on disk, so closing, reopening and switching projects are always safe.
- CLAUDE.md tracking: seeds a missing
CLAUDE.mdand logs it as the first entry, and re-logs it after edits only when it has actually changed. - One-click Model and Session logging: logs
/model,/compactand/clearand copies the exact command. Pastedclaude --resume <id>lines are recognised as Session Exit markers. - Saved CLAUDE.md-compliance audit prompt, editable to your own wording.
- Light/dark mode (including the native title bar on Windows 11), a remembered window size, and Reveal in Explorer.
- Crash-safe writes: each entry is a single flushed append, with no file handle held between actions.
