v0.12.2
Changes
- Fixed the 4.3C gradually losing its network features. On a machine with a
scale paired and an SD card in, the remote could reach a state where checking
for updates failed, the log page wouldn't load, and the WiFi/token setup portal
would advertise but refuse to let a phone join it — all at once, and only
clearing on a restart. The board had run out of a specific kind of internal
memory that the radio, the display and encrypted connections all draw from.
Apollo now uses roughly 26 KB less of it, which restores all three. - Fixed the "Check for updates" setting rendering in a smaller font than the
buttons above it in Settings > Device > WiFi.
Apollo 2 firmware v0.12.2 — one flashable image per supported
Waveshare board (bootloader + partitions + app combined; flash at
offset 0).
Easiest install: the web flasher —
plug the board in and flash from Chrome, no tools needed.
The flasher upgrades in place: your paired machine, Wi-Fi and
settings survive unless you explicitly choose to erase.
Command-line alternative — note the attached .bin is a full
image, so flashing it this way DOES clear saved settings:
esptool.py write_flash 0 apollo2-<board>-v0.12.2.bin
(apollo2-debug-symbols-v0.12.2.tar.gz is for developers:
the .elf files inside decode crash dumps downloaded from a device's
/coredump page.)
