v0.14.0
Everything since v0.13.0, including what the four betas carried.
Changes
- Beta updates. Settings > Apollo > WiFi has a Beta updates switch;
with it on, Apollo also offers pre-release builds. Off by default. - Back up your settings to the memory card. Settings > Apollo > Backup
writes every preference to the card and Restore from card puts them on
another Apollo, so replacing the hardware no longer means setting up again.
WiFi and the Micra token are each a switch on the confirmation. - The Dim idle screen keeps the screen on. The backlight drops to the low
level and the normal screen stays visible; the first touch still only wakes it. - Memory failures now leave evidence. When an allocation fails, Apollo
records who asked and what was filling memory, and prints it after the
reboot asmemfail:lines in the on-device log.
Fixes
- Joining the Micra-Setup WiFi is quick again. Apollo no longer keeps
trying to reach the machine and scale over Bluetooth while the setup
network is up, which was starving it of radio time. - The screen stays on during setup. The idle screen no longer kicks in
while the token or WiFi setup instructions are showing. - The setup instructions cover the page not opening. If the setup page
doesn't appear after scanning the QR code, the screen now says to open
the shown address.
Apollo 2 firmware v0.14.0 — one flashable image per supported
Waveshare board (bootloader + partitions + app combined; flash at
offset 0).
Easiest install: the web flasher —
plug the board in and flash from Chrome, no tools needed.
The flasher upgrades in place: your paired machine, Wi-Fi and
settings survive unless you explicitly choose to erase.
Command-line alternative — note the attached .bin is a full
image, so flashing it this way DOES clear saved settings:
esptool.py write_flash 0 apollo2-<board>-v0.14.0.bin
(apollo2-debug-symbols-v0.14.0.tar.gz is for developers:
the .elf files inside decode crash dumps downloaded from a device's
/coredump page.)
