Computer gets stuck on recent releases, needs to be restarted

Hi Dan, I'm currently using the "stable version" 25.08.16, extracted from the app image. ZERO PROBLEMS.

The last few versions, with a simple demo export, left my computer locked down.

I'm not sure if the testing before each release is done on basic, native hardware;

On distributions other than Ubuntu/Debian.
