v0.0.6

@mmarcon mmarcon released this 22 Sep 19:09

Ladies and gentlement, now this tools plugin includes
support for dump too.

This means that you have the full data lifecycle at your disposal:

Dump data from a cluster of your choice into an archive.
Then, restore the archive back into a different cluster.

Under the hood, this uses functionality from
mongodump and mongorestore although intentionally less options
are exposed to make things easier.

For advanced use, using mongodump and mongorestore is encouraged.

v0.0.5

Not much, other than support for passing db credentials
with --dbuser and --dbpass.

This comes quite handy when restoring to Atlas as the
CLI does not know the database credentials.

v0.0.4

Now this is less of a POC and more of a beta.

Features:

  • Restore data into a running cluster from archive
  • archive can be a local file or an archive available at a HTTP(S) endpoint
  • Quiet and nice output with pretty spinners, but support for --debug to check what is going on when something breaks

v0.0.3

Now --archive can be a URI

v0.0.2

First proof of concept of a plugin for the Atlas CLI
to use mongodb tools on local and Atlas deployments.

  • POC with mongorestore
