An air traffic controller for your coding sessions.

What’s new in v1.1.0

Control Tower’s read-only Git helper can now spot more unfinished work across your project:

  • Merges, rebases, cherry-picks, and reverts that stopped partway, including merges whose conflicts have been resolved but not committed.
  • Stashed changes that would otherwise be missing from the inventory.
  • Commits on a detached HEAD that are on no local branch or cached remote.
  • The working directory where a branch is being rebased, so active work is less likely to look orphaned.

Thanks to Matt Van Horn (@mvanhorn) for our first community contribution, PR #1. Matt identified these gaps and supplied the implementation and reproducible checks.

The helper remains read-only. Independent checks passed on Python 3.9.6 and 3.14.8, including verification that repository files and Git metadata stayed unchanged. Remote information still comes from cached local refs; it does not establish ownership or prove work is safe to delete. The core coordination instructions are unchanged.
