Lead Protocol v2.1.4 is a backward-compatible correctness patch.

  • Adds .agents/manifest.json with explicit product 2.1.4 and kernel 2.0.2 identity.
  • Reports Product Version and Kernel Version separately in human and JSON status, with a safe fallback for pre-manifest installations.
  • Keeps the existing eight-item handoff checklist schema and verifies branch ordering from git/PR evidence rather than a ninth persisted field.
  • Preserves v2.1.3 handoffs without migration and retains protocolVersion as a deprecated JSON alias of the kernel version.

The release candidate passed exact tarball installation, lifecycle/status smoke tests, 29 Node tests, 95 framework tests, and hosted Windows/macOS/Linux checks.
