🎉 Burraq v1.0.0 Stable Release

We are excited to launch the first official stable release of Burraq — the ultimate universal video/audio downloading ecosystem powered by Python & FastAPI! This release comes fully optimized for headless background performance and deep Windows integration.

📥 How to Install Burraq (Step-by-Step)

Follow these simple steps to get the Burraq core engine up and running on your Windows PC:

  1. Download the Installer:

    • Scroll down to the Assets section of this release page.
    • Click on Burraq-Setup.exe to download the standalone installer.
  2. Run the Setup Wizard:

    • Double-click the downloaded Burraq-Setup.exe file.
    • (Note: Since it requires system modifications to add tools to your system path, please grant Administrator privileges if prompted).
  3. Configure Options:

    • Desktop Shortcut: Check the box if you want a quick access icon on your desktop.
    • Windows Startup: We highly recommend checking the "Automatically start Burraq when Windows boots" option. This allows the server to load seamlessly in your Windows System Tray (next to the clock) right when your PC turns on.
  4. Complete Installation:

    • Click Install and wait for the process to finish.
    • Once completed, a dynamic success prompt will appear, and the server will launch silently in the background!

🚀 Bonus Feature: The installer automatically injects yt-dlp and ffmpeg into your Windows System PATH Environment Variable. You can now open any Command Prompt or PowerShell and invoke them globally!

🧩 How to Add the Browser Extension (Chrome / Edge / Brave)

To enjoy 1-Click dynamic downloads right from your favorite web browser, manually stage the included unpacked extension by following these steps:

  1. Locate the Extension Folder:

    • Navigate to the directory where Burraq was installed (Default: C:\Program Files\Burraq or C:\Program Files (x86)\Burraq).
    • Inside, you will see a folder named chrome-extension. Keep this path in mind.
  2. Open Extensions Manager:

    • Google Chrome: Open a new tab and go to chrome://extensions/
    • Microsoft Edge: Open a new tab and go to edge://extensions/
    • Brave Browser: Open a new tab and go to brave://extensions/
  3. Enable Developer Mode:

    • Look at the top-right corner of the Extensions page and toggle the "Developer mode" switch to ON.
  4. Load the Unpacked Folder:

    • Click on the "Load unpacked" button that appears on the top-left menu.
    • A file explorer window will open. Browse and select the chrome-extension folder inside your Burraq installation directory.
    • Click Select Folder.

Success! The Burraq overlay icon will instantly appear in your browser's extension bar. You can now seamlessly catch media hooks and send them directly to your background downloader pool!

🛠️ Core System Changes in this Build
