Features

• CLI rename: console scripts renamed from ms / modelscope to ms-hub / modelscope-hub to avoid installation collisions with the umbrella modelscope package (fixes #1752)
• MCP deploy UX: ms-hub mcp deploy prints the operational URL after deployment; adds --auth-check and repeatable --env KEY=VALUE options; validates --transport-type (sse / streamable_http)

Fixes

• Progress callbacks propagation: forward progress_callbacks through HubApi.download_repo facade so custom download-progress callbacks work end-to-end (previously raised TypeError on real calls)
• Legacy cache auto-detection: probe both {base}/{type}s/{owner}/{name} and {base}/hub/... layouts in priority order, with clean fallback to the new layout
• Revision propagation: corrected revision parameter propagation in get_model_files download path
• Anonymous public repo download: added require_token=False to three read-only agent APIs so public repo downloads work without credentials (previously blocked client-side); repo_info falls back to public endpoint when anonymous access returns 401
• Cookie override handling: HubApi.get_cookies() now respects explicitly passed empty tokens and does not silently fall back to persistent credentials; added _token_overridden flag
• Pre-LFS cross-domain: fixed cross-domain bug in pre-LFS flow
• Packaging conflict: renamed entry points to avoid FreeBSD pkg conflicts between modelscope and modelscope-hub
• Stale unit tests: fixed two tests failing in distro build sandboxes (NixOS); deploy_mcp_server drops explicit None payload values before applying default transport

Enhancements

• Lint/type-check: cleared ruff + mypy debt to zero; targets aligned to Python 3.10 floor; added static-typing groundwork (TypeAlias, StrEnum shim, SubParsers protocol)
• Test suite: verified timezone-independent and network-free in mock mode

CI

• New citest workflow: mock-mode suite (no credentials/network) on Python 3.10/3.12/3.14 with ruff/mypy hard gates; PyPI publishing now requires a green test gate; added pre-commit config

Documentation

• README / News: updated docs through v0.1.8; merged same-type release entries into single bullets; CLI references use the new ms-hub command name
