Camicus brings two local evidence workflows to Codex and Claude Code: checked weekly briefs from selected JSON snapshots, and a bounded read-only Mac audit.

This is a public alpha for macOS 14+ with Python 3.11–3.14. The engine uses only Python’s standard library, makes no network requests, does not repair settings, and writes private results without overwriting existing files. A passing check covers its declared observations; it does not certify a device or the assistant’s surrounding claims. Jev integration remains proposed.

Install from the reviewed marketplace ZIP or the tagged checkout using the installation guide. The marketplace ZIP includes both native catalogs and the plugin; the smaller plugin ZIP supports a Claude session load. The source ZIP includes source, tests, builders and generated marketplace files. Verify downloads against the attached SHA256SUMS.

Validation: 90 tests passed locally on Python 3.11.9, 3.12.2, 3.13.15 and 3.14.7 on macOS 14.8.9/APFS. Reproducible package checks and strict Claude manifest validation passed. Other macOS versions and filesystems have not all been exercised. Native public installation and hosted CI are checked separately in the launch record.
