OpenTable 1.1.0
Chat with your database, and run AI models locally.
Chat
A conversation panel that answers from your actual data, not just your schema.
Ask "how many orders failed last month?" and get the number — it writes the
query, runs it, and reads the result back.
- Read-only
SELECTs run immediately - Anything that writes stops and asks you first, showing the exact SQL
- Every query it ran stays visible, so the whole chain is auditable
- Answers stream in as they are written
- Conversations are saved and searchable; resizable panel and a full-screen mode
What it may run unattended is an allowlist, not a blocklist, because the SQL is
model-generated. Statements that merely look like reads — a WITH clause
hiding a DELETE, SELECT … INTO, INTO OUTFILE, FOR UPDATE — all require
your approval.
Bring your own model
The AI provider is now configurable. Alongside Anthropic, OpenTable speaks to
any OpenAI-compatible endpoint:
| Local | Remote |
|---|---|
| Ollama, LM Studio | vLLM, OpenRouter, Groq, NVIDIA NIM |
Point it at http://localhost:11434 in Settings and your schema never leaves
your machine — which matters, because the prompt includes your table and
column names.
Also
- Assistant replies render as formatted text rather than raw markdown
- Permission prompts show highlighted SQL and say what will happen in plain
English, with irreversible statements marked distinctly - Fixed unclickable window controls in full-screen chat on macOS
