Recommended for anyone on 1.1.0 or 1.1.1 — this fixes data loss when
editing table structure.
Fixed: schema edits could lose data
Altering a table could silently damage it. On SQLite, a rebuild dropped indexes
and truncated composite foreign keys to their last column, leaving the table
unusable. On PostgreSQL, column types were read back without their parameters
and referential actions were lost entirely.
| Editing a table used to… | Now |
|---|---|
| drop unique and partial indexes on SQLite | preserved across the rebuild |
turn a composite FK (a,b) into (b) |
preserved, in order |
read varchar(255) back as varchar |
length kept |
read numeric(12,2) back as numeric |
precision kept |
reset ON DELETE / ON UPDATE to no action |
preserved |
If you have edited a table's structure in 1.1.0 or 1.1.1, it is worth checking
that its indexes and foreign keys are still what you expect.
Fixed: connections dropping
An idle session dropped by a server, NAT or load balancer left the app stuck on
"Not connected" until you restarted it. Keepalive is now enabled, a heartbeat
detects a dead socket early, and the next query reconnects on its own. The
status bar shows whether you are connected, reconnecting, or dropped.
Faster structure inspection
Opening Structure on a large table no longer runs an exact COUNT(*). Row
counts come from catalog estimates and are marked approximate, so inspecting a
hundred-million-row table costs metadata rather than a full scan.
Safer AI auto-run
The rules deciding what the assistant may run unattended now use a real SQL
scanner rather than pattern matching — it understands dollar-quoted bodies,
nested comments and nesting depth. Sequence mutation (nextval, setval) and
advisory locks now require approval, and there is a regression suite so these
cases stay fixed.
