Keel 1.0.0
First release.
Keel tunes and cleans Apple Silicon Macs. It shows what each setting is now, explains what a change does and what you give up, records the original value before changing anything, checks the result, and puts the original back exactly when you turn the change off.
In this release
- About 150 tweaks in 12 areas: performance, memory, storage, background apps, network, developer tools, local AI tools, battery and power, privacy and security, visual responsiveness, Finder and desktop, and keyboard, trackpad and sound. Each shows its live state, risk, impact and sources. Tweaks that need hardware your Mac doesn't have are marked as not applicable, with the reason.
- Cleanup that measures sizes before deleting anything and never touches virtual machines, models, repositories or personal folders.
- Benchmark for CPU, GPU, memory, SSD, network and DNS, with before/after comparison.
- An optional privileged helper. Once you allow it in System Settings › General › Login Items & Extensions, changes that need administrator rights run without a password prompt. Without it, macOS asks once per batch.
