tomarigi-desktop v0.5.0
Changes
- Birds in the Garden stay where they are. Speech bubbles, tool rows, links, birds arriving or leaving, and resizing the window no longer shuffle the birds around. Only a bird that overlaps another or sticks out of the window moves, to the nearest free spot. The Garden never scrolls; if there is truly no room, the window grows just enough, and birds that still don't fit overlap
- The watch frame shows the parent's name above the parent bird instead of a title on the frame
- You can use the birds while the window is faded. Click or drag a bird without bringing the window back. The "tomarigi" header is a handle: drag it to move the window, click it to bring the window back
- Everything except the birds, speech bubbles, and the handle disappears while faded. The background, frames, tabs, buttons, and status rows are fully hidden instead of being left faintly visible
- Jumping to a pane works with every running Ghostty. Clicking a bird now finds the pane even when you started more than one Ghostty
tomarigi-desktop v0.4.0
Changes
- The floating window grows when the Garden runs out of room. Instead of pushing birds below the edge where you have to scroll to find them, the window grows until every bird fits, up to the screen's visible area. It grows away from the screen edges it sits near: placed in the bottom-right corner it grows up and to the left, and placed in the middle it grows in every direction, keeping the shape you gave it. It shrinks back when birds leave, never below the size you set. A size you set by resizing always wins, and the grown size is never saved
- No scrollbar while the window is faded. The scrollbar only shows once the window comes back, and the birds don't shift when it does
- Settings and the debug log are screens you leave with "‹ Back". They replace the tabs' content with a Back row, and the header stays in place while the content scrolls
tomarigi-desktop v0.3.0
Changes
- The floating window gets out of your way in the Garden. At rest only the birds, their "?" and anger marks, and speech bubbles are shown; the background, tabs, and labels fade almost to invisible, and clicks anywhere except on a bird go through to the window below. Put the cursor on a bird to bring the whole window back; it fades again once the cursor leaves the window
tomarigi-desktop v0.2.0
Changes
- Birds stay for as long as their session is running. They used to disappear after 30 minutes without activity. Now a bird stays however long you leave it, and leaves as soon as the session ends. Codex sessions work the same way
- The nest is gone. Idle birds are no longer tucked away into a nest; they stay in the Garden. A bird that has been waiting on you for a while falls asleep
- Clicking a Codex bird jumps to the Ghostty pane where that Codex is running
- Subagents (chicks) stay under their parent until they finish. A chick that goes quiet for a long time no longer disappears midway
- An anger mark appears on a bird when you send abuse to the AI (when a TypeSafe key is saved)
Fixes
- When Claude Code hands a conversation over to another session, the old bird no longer stays stuck waiting for a reply. Clicking the bird of the handed-over conversation jumps to the pane that shows it
