Security

• fix(tcp): unauthenticated Denial of Service in the TCP transporter packet parser (GHSA-h89v-g948-47vp, CWE-835, CVSS 3.1 7.5 High). A crafted packet with a negative length field caused an infinite synchronous loop in Parser._write, blocking the event loop of any node using the TCP transporter — reachable without authentication by a single 10-byte TCP packet. The parser now rejects packets whose length field is smaller than the header size. The 0.14.x line is also affected and receives the same fix in 0.14.36.

Changes

• fix(runner): ESM entrypoint crashed at import time in some bundler/loader setups because require was created eagerly. The ESM runner now creates its require lazily, on first use #1366
• fix(kafka): upgrade @platformatic/kafka to 2.x (peer range is now ^1.18.0 || ^2.0.0, so 1.x stays supported)
• fix(kafka): ignore TOPIC_ALREADY_EXISTS errors (including nested multi-topic errors from @platformatic/kafka 2.x) on concurrent topic creation
• fix(kafka): wait for topic metadata before subscribing to avoid missed messages right after topic creation
• test: E2E scenario stability fixes (registry sync race) #1367
