[8.6.0] - 2026-10-26

Added

  1. Plugin menu command to read past RemesPath queries.
  2. RemesPath function path_map(x), which does the thing requested in issue 122.
  3. Add new option to preserve column name order in JSON to CSV form

Changed

  1. Added a max length for API responses in the grepper form. This is set to 80 MB for a 64-bit installation and 14 MB for a 32-bit installation, so it should not be triggered in most cases.

Fixed

  1. Ensure that maliciously crafted regexes in schemasToFnamePatterns.json cannot be used to make Notepad++ hang indefinitely when opening files with maliciously crafted names.
  2. Eliminate caching of random RemesPath queries, ensuring that queries with random functions like rand() or randint(a,b) will generate new random values each time they're executed.
  3. Ensure that users cannot get a stack overflow by recursively expanding a tree view, opening the JSON to CSV form, or using the "Save query result button" for JSON that is too deep. As far as I know, such too-deep JSON could only be obtained in a rather roundabout way through a RemesPath query.
  4. Eliminate infinite loop that would freeze Notepad++ when evaluating a RemesPath query with a for loop on an empty array.
