Current Behavior
When opposite shift is enabled at the same time that the keymap is set to Dvorak (with Dvorak as the layout at the OS level), some keys will be incorrectly identified as being on the same side of the keyboard as the corresponding shift key. So pressing a key with my left hand and holding shift with my right hand will be rejected with the "opposite shift mode is on" message, and the same for some keys on the right side. (This was working yesterday on the same device, same settings.)
Expected Behavior
When using opposite hands to hold shift and press keys, while the opposite shift mode is enabled and the keymap layout is set to Dvorak, this message should not appear and the capitalised letter should be typed.
Steps To Reproduce
- Go to monkey-type
- Enable Opposite shift (set to "keymap")
- Set the keymap layout to Dvorak
- Set the OS keyboard layout to Dvorak
- Press Shift+R (on a Qwerty keyboard, the location of "R" corresponds to the location of "P" in the Dvorak layout)
- Observe that nothing is typed
- Repeat step 5 several times rapidly (try spamming capital P (pressing R if you use Qwerty))
- Observe error dialog box saying "Opposite shift is enabled"
Environment
- OS: macOS Tahoe
- Browser: Safari
- Browser Version: 26.5 (21642.5.11.4)
Anything else?
I've had a quick look through the latest release and I don't see anything there that touches keymap or opposite shift, although it must be one of those because setting opposite shift to just "on" and not "keymap" still works correctly.
