Sentry is a vigilant, Kiosk-style screen utility that prevents your Mac from sleeping while providing biometric security.

Key Features

  • Kiosk-Style Security: Hides the Dock, Menu Bar, and disables process switching (Cmd+Tab) to prevent unauthorized access while the app is active.
  • Prevent Sleep: Automatically disables idle system sleep while locked, ensuring your background tasks (downloads, renders, etc.) continue running.
  • Touch ID Unlock: Seamlessly integrated with macOS LocalAuthentication for fast, secure unlocking.
  • Smart Fallback: If Touch ID is unavailable (e.g., Clamshell mode), provides clear instructions to use the system lock (Cmd+Ctrl+Q).
  • Multi-Display Support: Instantly detects and covers all connected displays, including new ones plugged in while locked.
  • Agent Mode: Runs quietly in the background without a Dock icon. Accessible via the Menu Bar.

Installation

  1. Download the Sentry-v1.0.dmg and open.
  2. Drag Sentry to your Applications folder.
  3. Launch the app and grant necessary permissions.

Note: The app automatically deactivates if the Mac is system-locked (e.g. lid closed) to avoid conflicts.
