MacParakeet 0.8.0 makes recording more dependable, transcripts easier to work with, and the Library more useful.

Highlights

  • More dependable recording and meetings. Improved recovery across microphone, Bluetooth, AirPods, and audio-route changes; safer finalization and back-to-back meetings; and saved meeting notes that autosave and can inform post-meeting prompts. (#857, #860, #869)
  • Richer transcripts. Edit speaker names and corrections, use rich Markdown in results, chat, and Live Ask, select embedded audio tracks, and export W3C DAPT transcripts. (#839, #854, #957, #960)
  • A more useful Library. Create, rename, recolor, and apply labels with stable colors; choose a persistent grid or list layout; see clearer favorite and audio state; and give recordings without artwork a generated cover. (#958, #987, #988)
  • Better prompts and AI controls. Manage Transcript Prompts and Live Ask separately, organize prompts in collections, use reliable after-meeting automation, and set model-aware generation controls per prompt. (#961, #968, #990, #991, #992)
