Mouse clicks don't work when exiting stream whilst mouse control with gamepad is enabled

Describe the bug
Server PC can be left without the ability to 'click' anymore.

Steps to reproduce

• Open Moonlight on a Steam Deck
• Enable "Enable mouse control with gamepads by holding the 'Start' button"
• Launch into a steam (desktop is easiest to test)
• Hold the 'Start' button to enable 'mouse with gamepad' mode
• Press LB RB Start Select to exit the stream
• On the Server PC, notice that the mouse moves around as normal, but 'clicks' don't work. Try to minimise windows, or select something on the taskbar.... nothing works.

Rejoining via the Steam Deck, turning 'mouse with gamepad' mode on and off and exiting again doesn't fix it.

The only way I've found to get 'clicks' working again is by pressing Ctrl+Alt+Del, and then on that screen pressing Esc or clicking cancel to get back to the desktop.

Affected games
It does not matter what you launch into, a game or the desktop, the issue occurs.

Other Moonlight clients
Android version of Moonlight, 12.1, does not have this issues.

Not sure if this is entirely related, but i have also had issues with not being able to click after connecting to sunshine/apollo > disconnecting > reconnecting.

Host - Windows 11 running the latest Apollo (also occurred months ago when I would run Sunshine).

Client - Raspberry Pi 4 on Raspberry OS Lite (Debian). Latest version of Moonlight-qt.

When I disconnect my Raspberry pi 4 client running moonlight-qt from sunshine/apollo and then reconnect, I can move my mouse cursor with my xbox controller, but I cannot click anything. It behaves as if Windows doesn't recognize that my cursor is hovering over the GUI element i'm trying to click.

A solution I've found is to press the RB button on my Xbox controller after reconnecting my moonlight, which then allows me to click normally from my xbox controller.

I also have a similar issue when disconnecting my moonlight client from my host PC to where my actual mouse can't click anything. The solution I've found for this is to CTRL+ALT+DEL on my host PC's keyboard and open task manager in Windows. This allows me to click with my mouse again.

I also observe the same question. The issue specifically occurs where mouse clicks frequently fail in applications such as Edge browser and VS Code editor (especially on toolbars near the borders), even though the mouse cursor moves normally.

For me the same happens. Only the right mouse button is working after sometimes exiting a stream. The easiest fix for that is open the task manager with CTRL-ALT-DEL and close it again. After that, both mouse buttons are working again.

I also have this issue, not the end of the world when you are streaming locally but when you are remote it sucks.
Does anyone have a smart workaround for the issue ?

Had this happening to me, nothing seemed to shake it loose (including restarting the server). I decided to see if showing the stats using the Select+L1+R1+Square button would still work, and immediately after bringing the stats up my mouse clicks began working again.

im experiencing the same issue, moonlight-qt client on rpi5, host runs apollo on windows 11.
