SUMO KB machine translation software erroneously changes localized {menu translatedToItalian}, or {button translatedToItalian} back to English e.g. {menu en-USText}

Describe the bug
When a UI element marked by {menu localizedText} or {button localizedText} is changed in the en-US locale, the English changes overwrite the localized changes e.g. {menu en-USText} or {button en-USText}`

Preconditions

• Change a button or menu UI element in a SUMO KB Article

Steps to reproduce

1. Edit an en-US article
2. Change a UI element e.g. change #Select {menu Toolbars}. to #Click {button Toolbars} located at the bottom-left of the window.`
3. Submit the KB revision.
4. Approve the revision.

Expected behavior
The localized UI element name is used instead of the English one. e.g. in this case the Italian localized #Selezionare {menu Barre degli strumenti}. UI element string is used instead of the English string {button Toolbars}

Actual behavior
The Machine translator changed the localized UI element string back to the en-US UI element string.
e.g. it changed the Italian sentence from
#Selezionare {menu Barre degli strumenti}.
to
#Fare clic su {button Toolbars} situato in basso a sinistra nella finestra.

replacing the entry {menu Barre degli strumenti} with the original en-US interface entry {button Toolbars}.

There was a change at parent article level (en-US) which has modified the UI element from {menu} to {button}

We are using the prior-translation-wiki-map which is built by extracting every wiki element from the parent (en-US) text of the prior translation and mapping to the localized text. The new source string is not in that key (due tot the menu -> button change) so SUMO bot, as instructed, preserves the English button name unchanged.

Please let me know if I am missing something!!

The new source string is not in that key (due tot the menu -> button change) so SUMO bot, as instructed, preserves the English button name unchanged.

@emilghittasv have we considered getting the MT bot to flag this with an HTML comment? i.e. something like:
