Portable maps from OSM or custom geospatial data: GeoPackage storage, PMTiles for OpenLayers, and static 3D Tiles for Cesium.

  • Improve Cesium label legibility with larger text and stronger contrast and outlines; add Cesium-only label presentation settings to style JSON.

  • Generate native vector 3D Tiles for map context and separate extruded building meshes. Cesium defaults to no terrain clamping, with explicit opt-in; shared context tilesets retain independent layer controls, labels and feature zoom visibility.

  • Consolidate export and viewer integration, remove experimental viewers/comparators and generated test assets, and refresh the main product recordings.

  • Reuse Cesium color parsing and classification rules across features and zoom updates, with weak feature caches and live visibility/opacity controls.

  • Cesium now consumes only static 3D Tiles for map context. Added all-layer export, feature metadata, native vector points and labels from visible tile content; removed the runtime MVT provider and its extraction endpoint. OpenLayers continues to use PMTiles. Portable ZIPs include every tileset, and the preview server supports delivery-only packages without GeoPackage.

  • Fixed PMTiles stream error handling and abort cleanup: wait for actual disk completion, preserve the original error, and settle worker writes before removing temporary files.

  • Added a public GeoPackage writer for application-defined schemas with TEXT, INTEGER and REAL columns, independent of the OSM adapter.

  • Added shared manifest layer descriptors with separate public IDs and storage tables, layer zoom ranges, optional per-feature INTEGER zoom columns and tile property selection. Existing version 1 string-layer manifests remain supported.

  • Separated OSM cartographic policies from the generic MVT pipeline and exposed public GeoPackage reader, manifest and PMTiles export entry points.

  • Added sparse PMTiles planning from RTree extents, with bounded planning memory and candidate/export metrics.

  • Added reusable OpenLayers PMTiles sources for HTTP and local files, including per-feature visibility during overzoom.

  • Documented custom data definitions and the complete features → GeoPackage → PMTiles workflow; updated package descriptions to reflect support beyond OSM.

Validated with 83 tests, syntax checks, browser tests, and installation of the npm artifacts. Cesium vector rendering targets CesiumJS 1.145.0; see the format notes for current Technology Preview limitations.
