Nami 0.4.6 makes sessions and their files easier to navigate, with a clearer Split view and more consistent themes.

• Desk and Split views: switch between your desk and a session beside its files. Split adapts to narrow windows and higher zoom levels.
• Clearer session navigation: grouped files, readable file counts, better alignment, stronger selection indicators, and rounded child rows that match each theme.
• More useful session names: cards pick up names from your messages and the agent's conversation title.
• Send selected text to a session: include a file reference and optional note, then insert into the existing chat or terminal input without automatically submitting.
• Visible screenshot references: paste an image into a terminal session to insert its saved path. Thumbnails stay available to reopen, insert again, or hide.
• Consistent appearance: theme indicators match the active window, theme choices persist correctly, and appearance controls stay aligned when switching themes or zooming. Soft and Dusk scrollbars are cleaner.

The Quick start panel now belongs to its theme.

Opening ? in glass, graphite or operator handed you a sheet of ruled cream paper — square corners, a cursive heading, a warm drop shadow — sitting inside themes that had left all of that behind everywhere else. Each of those three now dresses the panel in its own language: frosted slabs and dot-matrix headings in glass and graphite, mono uppercase on hairline-separated rows in operator.

Paper, soft and dusk are unchanged.

The document viewer grows up

• Documents fill the tile. The 76-character column cap is gone from Read and Edit — expanding a tile now widens your document, not the empty space beside it.
• Edit looks exactly like Read. Same headings, same margins, same rhythm — only the caret tells you which mode you are in.
• Properties get out of the way. Frontmatter collapses to one slim row that opens on click and scrolls away with the document, instead of a form claiming half the tile.
• Code wraps like VS Code. Text and code files soft-wrap to the tile at any size, and line numbers stay beside their logical lines. No more sideways scrolling.
• Operator reads like the terminal. All file content in the operator theme now uses SF Mono, and markdown headings get a real scale again.
• Soft & dusk lose the ribbon. The editor's save bar follows the tile's curve — pills on the surface, no square band.
• Fixed: the block editor's drag handle was almost entirely clipped off-screen; it now sits whole in the left gutter.

Nami can open your files.

• Markdown and text files now open in Nami from Finder. Right-click → Open With, or set Nami as the default with Change All. Covers .md, .markdown, .mdx, .txt and .text.
• The file lands as a tile. If its folder is already open, it appears right there. If not, the window moves to that folder and saves the desk you left behind.
• A desk with agents running is never taken over — Nami offers the file a window of its own instead.
• Open a file with Nami closed and it starts up, restores your windows, then opens the file.

Installing Nami never takes a file type on its own. It offers; you choose.

Chat (beta) — talk to your agents in a clean chat view instead of a terminal window. Works with Claude Code, Kimi, Codex, OpenCode, Grok, and Hermes. You get readable replies, tool activity as tidy cards, approve/deny buttons, slash commands with real pickers for model and settings, file drops, and session resume. Terminal stays the default — Chat is the small beta button next to each agent, and anything Chat can't do hands you back to a terminal with your session and draft carried over.

Replies format properly — tables, bullet and numbered lists, checklists, headings, quotes, and code blocks with a copy button all render cleanly in Chat, in every theme.

Two new themes — Soft and Dusk, a light and a dark take on a soft-shadow look, joining Paper, Operator, Glass, and Graphite.

Polish — sidebar sessions keep their agent's logo after renaming, tidier sidebar tabs, and theme touch-ups throughout.
