1MB Locator HUD 1.47.0 — Snapshot Public Beta 4
Pre-releaseSnapshot Public Beta 4
Warning
REQUIRES TESTING. Version 1.47.0 is a public prerelease with substantial configuration, UI, rendering, and privacy-hardening changes since Beta 3. It passed automated verification, but broader gameplay testing is still required before it should be treated as stable. Consider backing up config/locator-hud.json before updating so returning to Beta 3 remains simple.
1MB Locator HUD remains a standalone, fully client-side Fabric mod. It works in singleplayer and multiplayer without a server plugin, server permission, custom network protocol, telemetry, or remote calls. Existing configurations remain supported.
The mod was made for 1MoreBlock.com, a public Java Edition survival Minecraft server currently running Minecraft 26.2.
What’s new since Public Beta 3
- Added brief client-thread save debouncing, final-value flushing for slider and panel drags, and immediate single writes for grouped preset, reset, and Saved setup actions.
- Added an unbound
Open Locator HUD settingskey so the complete configuration screen remains accessible without Mod Menu. - Added a live panel-placement editor with corner snapping, recoverable X/Y offsets, fallback handles for hidden panels, and a focused position reset.
- Added independent minimum and maximum panel widths with automatic sizing, safe range repair, truncation, scaling, and screen-edge clamping.
- Added complete translation-backed option values and English-fallback verification for community locale support.
- Added a default-off Accessibility mode with 110%, 125%, and 150% panel sizes plus expanded keyboard and narrator guidance.
- Added automatic enforcement of Minecraft’s server-provided reduced-debug state: coordinate rows, the Overworld–Nether lens, coordinate copying, and target sampling/display are unavailable while restricted. Saved choices return when full debug information becomes available.
- Expanded unit, migration, geometry, configuration-screen, client-only policy, packaging, and production-client smoke coverage without adding a runtime dependency.
Testing priorities
- Upgrade an existing Beta 3 configuration and confirm settings remain intact.
- Open settings with and without optional Mod Menu, including the direct key mapping.
- Exercise panel placement, width limits, accessibility sizes, narrow windows, and different GUI scales.
- Verify translated option fallback and keyboard/narrator behavior where available.
- On a server using reduced debug information, confirm coordinates and targets are suppressed and
F8leaves the clipboard unchanged.
Please report regressions and beta feedback through the issue tracker.
