This new release is quite a big one on the emersion side of things. Mostly new hands and better interactivity with the environment.

Two-handed bow is now the default: an arrow appears in your hand, nock it, draw and release; arrows leave from the bow
Frob what your hand touches or points at (within reach)
Hold the grip on crates, bottles etc. to carry them in your hand; let go to drop, swing and let go to throw
Throw flash bombs and other items by swinging
HUD on your body: light gem and health on the left wrist, weapon on the right, inventory at the left waist above a pouch
The selected inventory item appears in your hand while cycling
Climb ladders and ropes with the stick (forward up, back down)
Lean further with the camera shift off (Movement tab: lean reach)
New hand textures (Hafnia Hands)
Fixed: sound turning with the hand instead of the head
Fixed: melee hits not registering reliably

Play Thief 2: The Metal Age in VR, with full head and hand tracking.

Features

Stereo 3D at your headset's native resolution, with 6DoF head tracking
Real melee: swing the sword and blackjack with your hand. Hits land where your blade is, and knockouts work as in the original game.
Bow: aim it with your hand, or turn on the two-handed bow and draw the string like a real bow
Crouch and lean with your body
Every game screen in VR: menus, map, objectives and books on a screen in front of you, driven by a laser pointer
3D sound that follows your head, plus controller vibration when your weapon hits
In-game VR menu: hold the left menu button for settings, the full controls list and recenter
Options: snap or smooth turn, weapon smoothing, weapon and bow alignment, HUD placement, anti-aliasing and more

Thief 2 (Steam or GOG) with T2Fix installed (NewDark 1.29)
A PC VR headset with a 32-bit OpenXR runtime. It's tested on Meta Quest with Virtual Desktop.
Touch-style motion controllers

Download Thief2VR-0.1.0.zip below.
Extract it into your Thief 2 folder (the one with Thief2.exe). You get a Thief2VR folder inside it.
Run Thief2VR\install.bat.
Start your headset streaming, then launch Thief 2.

To remove the mod, run uninstall.bat. It restores your original game settings.

Only tested with Virtual Desktop on Quest. Other headsets and runtimes may work if they provide 32-bit OpenXR.
Supports the NewDark 1.29 build from T2Fix only. A future T2Fix update will need a mod update.
Right-handed controls only for now.

This is the first release. If something doesn't work, please open an issue and attach thief2vr.log from your Thief 2 folder.
