Read and backup progress is now prominent on the Connection page.

  • See the current pass, bytes read and overall progress across both complete reads.
  • See elapsed time and remaining time estimated from the measured transfer rate. Estimates adapt to the current read; no fixed adapter-speed assumption is used.
  • Verification remains below 100% until matching captures and the backup/completion records are saved. Stopped or failed operations retain their last progress and say not verified.
  • The README and ROM-dump guide include actual-app screenshots of reading, verification and interruption. Their synthetic test times are not vehicle throughput measurements.

Download SpeedLink.exe and run it. No installer or separate .NET installation is required. The source ZIP and SHA-256 checksums are included.

Validation: 346 unit cases, 62 required baseline regression cases and six offline native UI scenarios passed, along with the GitHub Windows suite and packaged-app checks. Existing J2534 receive fixes are included. Adapter configuration, request sizes, response deadlines and no automatic resends are unchanged. ECU programming remains disabled. Real Mazda ECU and Mongoose hardware acceptance remain pending.

If a read fails, use Connection → Export support report… and attach the saved ZIP to the problem-report form. ROM payloads are excluded from support reports.
