What's new

• GigaAM v3 for Russian speech, on desktop and mobile. Sber's model (MIT) adds punctuation itself and is far more accurate on Russian than Whisper of a similar size. Auto picks it for Russian without a second language; it can also be chosen manually. If you decline the ~230 MB download, Auto uses Whisper until Obsidian restarts. If Voice Scribe for Windows has already downloaded GigaAM, the plugin reads that copy instead of downloading it again.
• Low memory use on phones. GigaAM's weights are loaded once, not twice: 248 MiB in memory, less than Whisper base. The model downloads straight into the cache, resumes after a dropped connection, and is checked with SHA-256.
• Faster long recordings on desktop. Recordings longer than 90 seconds are split between two workers on computers with 8 GB of RAM or more.
• Floating microphone button on mobile. Tap to start recording, tap again to stop and insert the text. It turns red while recording and spins while transcribing. Drag it up or down to move it; the position is remembered on each device. If Songwriter Player is installed, the button sits right below its button. You can turn it off in settings.

• Длинные записи на компьютере быстрее. Записи длиннее 90 секунд делятся между двумя воркерами, если у компьютера от 8 ГБ памяти.
• Плавающая кнопка микрофона на телефоне. Тап начинает запись, ещё тап останавливает и вставляет текст. Во время записи кнопка красная, во время расшифровки крутится. Её можно перетащить вверх или вниз; место запоминается на каждом устройстве. Если стоит Songwriter Player, кнопка встаёт прямо под его кнопкой. Выключается в настройках.

ONNX Runtime WASM runtime (jsep) for Voice Scribe

ONNX Runtime WebAssembly runtime files served to the plugin on first run (desktop). Exact, unmodified copies from onnxruntime-web@1.22.0-dev.20250409 dist as bundled by @huggingface/transformers 3.8.1; the plugin patches the .mjs glue locally after download (see src/transcriber.ts).
