peripheral_model

PyTorch implementation of the peripheral auditory model from "Models optimized for real-world tasks reveal the task-dependent necessity of precise temporal coding in hearing" (Saddler & McDermott, 2024 Nature Communications). The primary repository accompanying this work (phaselocknet) implements the models in TensorFlow and also includes code to run analyses and generate figures. This repository is adapted from phaselocknet_torch and includes only the peripheral auditory model. The DEMO notebook includes code for fitting the peripheral auditory model to a listener's audiogram, as was done in Saddler, Dau, & McDermott (2025, Clarity Workshop).
