Release list
v1.1.2
- The Status window in the menu is readable again: one item per line instead of everything run together.
statusis shorter and clearer: wrapped category list, domain count, last update run with its result, and the next scheduled update.- Running
blocklist.shwithout a command shows a help screen with the commands grouped by purpose.
Upgrade with blocklist.sh upgrade (from 1.1.0 or later). From 1.0.0, run the install command from the README once.
v1.1.1
Fix: the update check and the installer now look up the newest release through the GitHub API. The redirect used in 1.1.0 was cached and could miss new releases.
Upgrading from 1.1.0 or 1.0.0: run the install command from the README once.
v1.1.0
Reliability
- After loading a new list, the script checks that CoreDNS is actually blocking with it. If not, the previous list is restored.
- Updates and applies no longer overlap.
- Status shows
yes, pending(last apply failed or still running) orNO. - The watcher backs off after a failed restart, retries failed writes quickly, logs the actual error and picks up changes to blocklist.conf.
- Uninstall also stops a running update.
Behaviour changes
- Disabling all categories now leaves only UniFi's own block list entries active (previously the old list stayed).
- Custom domains on their own are no longer rejected by MIN_ENTRIES.
- Only one Ad Block level can be on at a time.
- Extra list URLs are cached by URL, so reordering them is safe.
Versions and updates
blocklist.sh version, plus the version instatusand the menu.- The scheduled update shows a notice when a newer release exists (notify only, UPDATE_CHECK=0 to turn off).
blocklist.sh upgradeinstalls the newest release and keeps your settings.- The installer now installs the newest release instead of main.
Upgrading from 1.0.0: run the install command from the README once. Later updates can use blocklist.sh upgrade.
v1.0.0
First release: category-based filtering through UniFi's own content filter, compatibility check, installer, category menu, scheduled updates and a watcher that re-applies the list after UniFi rebuilds its files.
