Pre-release
Pre-release
New info has come to light and I will work on fixing some crucial issues that 1.10 has introduced / forgotten about
This update focuses on reachability and bugfixes
Information
There are now 2 versions of SaveManager: Portable & Installer!
more info can be found in the README
Known Issues
- Mass backup / individual Minecraft world backup creation can block the UI and program exit
Core
-
Fixed
- Fixed a potential race condition when saving SFTP settings
- Fixed a potential silent backup overwrite / failure by improving precision with ms timestamps
- Fixed an issue where a download failure did not close the handle in all cases
- Fixed an issue where tag migration failure deleted the original tags
- Fixed an issue where 'Free wasted once' & 'Free busted ones' toggles did nothing in the GTA:SA save editor
- Fixed an issue where the mass backup feature ignored custom ignore files
- Fixed an issue where minecraft saves in the mass backup silently ignored
.datfiles - Fixed an issue where SFTP downloads were not verified before written to disk which could overwrite an existing file
- Fixed an issue where archive entries with absolute or UNC-style paths could bypass the save directory restriction
- Fixed an issue where a corrupted backup manifest silently skipped hash verification instead of refusing to restore
- Fixed a potential file handle leak during a read failure of a file inside an archive
- Fixed an issue where failing to open a temporary file for writing did not restore the original file in place in archive extraction
-
Changed
- Added more logging around restore failures (exceptions, zip-slips, conflicts, renames etc.)
GUI
-
Added
- Font scale slider within the settings
-
Fixed
- Fixed an issue where the path to the loaded save file in the editor was an input field instead of regular text
- Fixed an issue where window resizes would block rendering & cause artifacts
- Fixed a possible crash when double-clicking a folder while browsing remote (SFTP) files
- Fixed an issue where the save editor view's save button did not show the correct message based on the save result
- Fixed an issue where backupos with multiple save locations could only restore to one of those locations, silently ignoring the rest
- Fixed an issue where doube clicking a backup preview could crash the application
- Fixed a possible crash when duplicating a backup due to the copy failing
-
Changed
- Made the Windows titlebar respect the OS appearance setting on startup & theme changes (requires restart) (#11)
- Made improvements to handle different screen sizes more dynamically
Development
- Underlying code for the GUI has been upgraded to the latest version of my template
- Dropped the CLI & Daemon for now to focus on the GUI (were not used yet)
