v1.2.0 — Controller settings, camera toggle and HD setup
Simpler ProsperoStore game setup — helper v1.2.0
Already installed the app from ProsperoStore? Download PS5-Install-Helper-v1.2.0.zip below.
- Open Store-Setup-Windows.cmd or run
sh store-setup.shon Linux/macOS. - Choose your game file/prepared folder, then an output location on your computer or USB.
- Wait for READY, then copy the finished title folder's contents into the existing app folder.
The download knows which game it is for. Preparation and verification run together;
there is no title ID to type, no app ZIP to select, and no console connection during setup.
Each run uses a new folder and opens it when ready. The manifest and validation report
stay beside the title folder. Transfer remains separate and can use your preferred method.
Python 3.9+ is still required. Native file pickers fall back to text prompts if unavailable.
The supported game inputs in INSTALL.md still apply: this helper does not convert raw N64
ROMs or compile Wind Waker HD/Link's Awakening private modules. The output contains game
data only; the store-installed app is still required.
All seven packaged helpers passed 23 host tests each plus their game-specific setup flow
with synthetic game fixtures. Existing real app staging folders passed validation.
Linux's native picker passed a smoke check; native Windows/macOS execution and alternate
physical console storage gameplay remain unverified. Game builds and prior assets are unchanged.
Offline folder verification — helper v1.1.0
Download PS5-Install-Helper-v1.1.0.zip below and follow INSTALL.md.
It supersedes the optional v1.0.0 desktop helper; the PS5 app and older release assets remain unchanged.
- Preparation leaves a SHA-256 manifest beside the ready-to-copy title folder.
- Run Validate-Files-Windows.cmd,
sh validate-files.sh, orpython3 validate-files.py --src /path/to/PPSA99620. - Checks are offline/read-only and report missing/changed files, wrong metadata and invalid layout.
--require-completerejects app-only/data-only staging; omit it for a store game's data overlay.- Keep the original manifest to check a copy on USB;
--manifestaccepts its separate location. --reportwrites an optional new JSON result. No game contents, keys or saves are bundled.
These checks establish copy integrity since preparation and expected layout, not game authenticity,
module compatibility, registration or gameplay. All seven published app ZIPs were checked byte for byte;
18 host tests pass per repository, including real localhost FTP and validator failure cases.
Native Windows/macOS execution and alternate physical console storage are still unverified.
Installation helper update — October 19, 2026
See the updated installation guide.
The new PS5-Install-Helper-v1.0.0.zip is an optional computer download; the
PS5 app ZIP and executable are unchanged.
- Preparation produces a normal ready-to-copy title folder without contacting a console.
- Transfer is a separate optional FTP script; copy the ready folder by any preferred method.
- Internal/loader-supported storage, USB/file-manager copying and Wi-Fi FTP are documented.
M.2, Ethernet and PS5 Upload are optional. - No game files, keys or saves are bundled. The helper needs Python 3.9+ only;
manual file copying does not require it. - Existing FTP files are retained by default; intentional replacements keep backups.
Existing configuration is preserved.
Host validation covers all seven app ZIPs and real localhost FTP transfers.
Windows/macOS execution and alternate physical console storage remain unverified.
The controller menu fixes were tested on PS5 by the user. These releases use the same executable and matching runtime installed and verified on that console.
- Touchpad opens/closes the port menu; Options remains the game pause/save button.
- Larger TV menus, no tab scrollbar covering controls, and working focus between sections and settings.
- L1/R1 change tabs; L2/R2 change sections. Cross or D-pad Right enters a section, Circle returns, and Triangle focuses the power/reset/close buttons.
- Right-stick camera controls and Enable HD textures / mods are independent Mod Menu toggles, enabled by default. Saved off choices remain off. Camera mode uses right stick for Free Look and D-pad for C buttons; disabling it restores saved bindings (older camera builds without a backup fall back to standard bindings).
- PS5 interpolation is fixed at 60 FPS. This is a rendering target, not a guarantee that every scene sustains 60 FPS.
- Windows and Linux archives include updated READMEs, setup guides, configuration/mod helpers and SHA-256 checksums. The display profile requests 4K/120 Hz with 60 Hz fallback; 120 Hz display operation is not established by these tests.
Updating an existing installation
Close the title completely first. Back up your existing executable, matching sce_module/libc.prx, configuration and saves. Replace eboot.bin, sce_module/libc.prx and build-profile.json from the release's title folder; preserve your installed game archives, title metadata, mods, UserData and sandbox saves. Both releases retain their existing title IDs.
Mods and HD textures
Texture/mod archives are installed separately and must be listed in mods.txt. Copying a downloaded ZIP/7z without extracting the compatible archive and indexing it is insufficient. The HD toggle defaults to on, but the release does not include an HD pack. See the linked mod guide for paths, download choices, adding more mods and troubleshooting. UserData's mod manifest takes precedence when present.
Validation
Both builds compiled and linked successfully. Validator self-tests passed (SoH: 29; 2Ship: 31). All four public ZIPs passed integrity checks and match the deployed executable/runtime hashes. ROM-derived base archives, HD packs, saves and user configuration are excluded.
Language and configuration
SoH remains version 9.2.3. Change game text in Settings → General → Language. English was tested with US/NTSC v1.2 assets; German requires supported PAL assets containing German text. The JSON key is CVars.gSettings.Languages (plural). Spanish is not included. Use Settings → General's Config folder to locate the active JSON; a file beside the executable is not automatically active.

Fresh installations need your own game assets extracted with the matching official PC port. Download the Windows or Linux ZIP for your computer; you do not need to compile the PS5 port.
v1.1.0 — Optional camera controls
Optional right-stick camera controls for Ship of Harkinian on PS5.
- Right stick controls the camera; D-pad performs C-button/item actions.
- Existing X/O bindings and saves are preserved. Normal title-screen startup remains.
- Native 4K build, targeting 60 FPS interpolation with the same adaptive 120 Hz output behavior as stock. This is OpenGL, without ray tracing.
- No forest-capture code, ROM data, HD texture packs or personal saves are included.
Download camera-controls for the new layout, or keep the stock v1.0.0 build. Both use PPSA99620: install one variant at a time. Settings persist when switching; disable Free Look and reset/remap controls to restore the original layout.
Use the same installation instructions as stock. Windows and Linux/macOS archives include their usual asset and installation helpers.
Validation: console-tested controls and save loading; 15 package checks; 21 validator self-tests; archive integrity, executable checksum and exclusion of ROM/personal save data verified. The validator now checks controls variants and the executable SHA-256.
