Image Shrink 1.0.0
Select images in Finder and press ⌃⌘J — they are converted where they sit, with your last settings, no window, nothing to open. The combination is yours to record inside the app.
Prefer to look before you leap: right-click → Quick Actions → Convert to JPEG, pick a limit — 500 KB, 1, 2 or 5 MB, or your own number — and every row shows what the file will weigh before anything is written.
- One Quick Action per preset: Email 2 MB, Web 1 MB, Messenger 500 KB.
- HEIC, JPEG, PNG, TIFF, GIF, WebP and camera raw in; JPEG out, next to the original, named for the size it reached —
IMG_7301-2MB.jpg. - Never larger than the original: the limit is a ceiling, not a target.
- Undo a whole batch, keep or strip metadata (including GPS), a Shortcuts action, a menu bar item that takes drops.
Nothing leaves your Mac — the app has no network code in it.
Install: open the DMG, drag the app to Applications, open it once. The first launch installs the Finder Quick Actions itself and sets the shortcut up.
