- Hover says a control is a control. With the press dimming gone, a button in the settings
popover looked like a label — nothing happened under the pointer either. Capsule buttons and
the limit pills now lighten on hover, over 120 ms, which lasts as long as the pointer does and
so reads as an invitation rather than a blink. - ← and → walk the size limits again, and this time without the picker holding focus: the
keys are read at the window, so nothing draws a ring. A focused text field keeps its own
arrows — editing beats navigating. - Nothing dims while you click it. Every control used to fade under the pointer — SwiftUI's
plain style dims a label on press, and the capsule buttons faded to 70–80 %. A click is over
before the eye resolves it, so on controls this small the feedback read as a flicker rather
than an answer. What confirms a click is the result: the capsule slides, the numbers change. - The whole pill is clickable, not just the digits. The capsule behind a size limit is drawn
by the container, so the button underneath was only the text — clicking a few pixels above or
below it did nothing. The hit area is the whole segment now, corners included. - Keyboard. Every action has a menu item and a shortcut: convert ⌘↩, stop ⌘., the size limit
⌘1 … ⌘5, undo ⇧⌘Z, show in Finder ⇧⌘R, clear ⌘⌫. The limit picker takes focus and answers
← and →. Items grey out when they would do nothing, and the size limit menu shows which one
is in force. - The remove button on a row and the settings button in the menu bar panel got a 22 pt hit area
instead of a 15 pt glyph. - Nothing is highlighted before you touch it, and a click leaves nothing behind. Making the
limit picker focusable brought a focus ring with it twice over: on launch, and then after any
click, around the first pill rather than the one pressed. Focus belongs to the keyboard, not
the mouse, so the group is no longer a focus target — Tab still reaches each pill, and ⌘1 … ⌘5
does the same job without touching the window at all. The ring, when it does appear, follows
the pill instead of boxing it in.
Install: brew install --cask mshykov/tap/image-shrink, or open the DMG and drag
the app to Applications. Open it once — the first launch installs the Finder Quick
Actions and the shortcut.
