v0.0.4 — The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap (adaptive view)

Choose a tag to compare

@mstan mstan released this 18 Jul 22:27

Adds an Adaptive view toggle to the pre-boot launcher. When enabled, resizing the window to a wider aspect widens the logical framebuffer from 240 up to 480 px (still 160 tall), revealing more of the world on both sides of the camera — a plain 3:2 resize just scales. The faithful 240×160 presentation remains the default until you tick the box.

Rebuilt on gbarecomp's new split-TU recompiler (the cartridge now emits parallel translation units instead of one monolithic file — much faster builds); runtime behavior is unchanged. Save states and .sav files from v0.0.3 carry forward.

Built against gbarecomp 5b3d2cf + recomp-ui 7c18edd as pinned git submodules.

What you download

A MinishCapRecomp-windows-x64 zip: MinishCapRecomp.exe (Release, MinGW, stripped) + the four runtime DLLs + the launcher assets/ + a toolchain-free overlay_toolchain/ (TinyCC, for self-healing overlay gaps). Keep them together. Supply your own legally-obtained Minish Cap (USA) ROM and GBA BIOS — neither is redistributed.
