Research Studio brings LaTeX papers, mathematical analyses, source PDFs, and a shared AI conversation into a local desktop workspace.

For Apple Silicon Macs (M1 or newer), macOS 13 or later.

  1. Download Research-Studio-0.3.0-arm64.dmg below.
  2. Open the disk image and drag Research Studio into Applications.
  3. Open Research Studio from Applications.

This is an unsigned, unnotarized development preview. If macOS cannot verify the developer, follow Apple’s instructions for opening a trusted app. Do not bypass a malware warning.

The desktop runtime for mathematics and PDF reading is included. Manuscript PDF export requires a separate TeX installation such as MacTeX. AI features require an installed Codex runtime, your own OpenAI account with appropriate access, and an internet connection. Use Desktop setup in the app to check available tools. Lean checking and automatic updates are not included in this preview.
