0.1.3

  • Clears the remaining lint warnings in the shared helpers (src/lib); the same fixes were offered upstream in truefrontier#77.
  • Answered-phrase underlines in Reading view are created in the note's own window, so they also work in pop-out windows.
  • Release assets are built by GitHub Actions with artifact attestations.

0.1.2

  • Clears the community directory review's type-safety warnings: the plugin's use of Node APIs now type-checks without @types/node.
  • The dotted underline on answered phrases is drawn with a border, avoiding CSS the review flags.
  • README disclosures name the plugin's filesystem and command-line tool use, and its vault-wide note listing.
  • Release assets are built by GitHub Actions with artifact attestations.

0.1.1

  • Release assets are now built by GitHub Actions and carry artifact attestations, so you can verify main.js, manifest.json and styles.css were built from this repository (gh attestation verify main.js -R mstublefield/obsidian-nested-reader).
  • No changes to the plugin's behavior.

First release of Nested Reader for Obsidian, a port of Nested Reader by Kevin Kirchner.

  • Select a phrase and ask: a quick answer streams in under the paragraph; answered phrases keep a dotted underline, and hovering shows the answer again.
  • New page and Deep dive grow a linked child note from the phrase; the Nested pages panel shows how notes grew from each other.
  • Works with Claude, OpenAI, Grok or Perplexity, through a Claude/ChatGPT plan's command-line tool or an API key (stored in Obsidian's secret storage).
  • Answers can draw on general knowledge, a read-only search of your vault (with folders it may not read) and the web — each a setting.

Desktop only; requires Obsidian 1.13.0 or later. See the README for disclosures and limitations.
