v0.8.0 — kayloehmann v2 (gardena_smart_system_ng) backend support
Added
- Support for kayloehmann/ha-gardena-smart-system v2.x (#4). Version 2.0.0 of that integration renamed its domain from
gardena_smart_systemtogardena_smart_system_ng, so the card no longer recognized it and showed "no supported backend". Backend detection is now purely domain-based:gardena_smart_system_ngselects the kayloehmann adapter, the legacygardena_smart_systemdomain selects the thecem/py-smart-gardena adapter. The visual editor's entity pickers accept entities from both domains. - The new local gateway access mode introduced in kayloehmann v2.1.0 (local-first control with cloud fallback) works transparently with the card — same entities, same services. Its hub-level connectivity diagnostics (
Local gateway connected, cloud websocket status) are correctly ignored by the card's device-connectivity detection, so a disabled local channel can't make the card appear offline.
Removed
- Support for kayloehmann v1.x. It shares the legacy domain with thecem's integration, predates the HACS inclusion of kayloehmann's integration, and v2 provided no automatic migration — if you are still on v1.x, follow the v2 migration steps and the card will pick the new install up automatically.
Install
HACS will offer the update automatically. For manual installs, download gardena_smart_system_card.js below and replace your existing copy (no configuration changes required).
