Capturo 0.18.0 — Windows x64

Capturo 0.18.0 adds local text extraction to the screenshot capture workflow.

Highlights

  • Copy text now sits immediately beside regular image Copy in the capture toolbar.
  • Press Ctrl+Shift+C or click Copy text to recognize the final rendered selection and place
    plain text on the Windows clipboard.
  • OCR follows the visible crop, annotations, Blur/Pixelate effects, and a pending transparency
    preview. Empty or failed recognition leaves the editor open with useful feedback.
  • Recognition uses Windows' installed OCR languages locally through Capturo's native helper.
    It needs no cloud service, Capturo account, model download, telemetry, or temporary screenshot.
  • The helper rejects oversized input and applies a bounded timeout so OCR cannot leave the
    capture editor permanently busy.

OCR can confuse small, stylized, low-contrast, rotated, or obscured characters. Install the
appropriate Windows OCR language pack and review important copied text.

Platform and signing

  • Tested and released for Windows x64 only.
  • This release publishes the interactive Windows installer. The portable executable remains a
    local validation artifact.
  • The installer is not Authenticode-signed, so Windows may display an unknown-publisher warning.
  • macOS remains untested, unsigned, un-notarized, unsupported, and is not published.
