Mutadrums 2.1.0

@github-actions github-actions released this 20 Oct 18:59

First public release, under the new name.

  • Renamed to Mutadrums by mtyas. New plugin IDs (CLAP com.mtyas.mutadrums), so it installs alongside the old MutableDrums build instead of replacing it. User presets are copied over from the old folder automatically.
  • Interactive EQ. Drag the L / M / H points on the EQ curve to set frequency and gain. Mouse wheel on M sets Q; double-click resets gain.
  • Smoother EQ. Coefficients glide over about 30 ms instead of jumping once per audio block, so sweeps and automation don't zipper. The curve redraws as soon as a value changes, instead of lagging behind the knobs.
  • Separate outputs. Seven extra stereo outputs (Out 2–8). Each voice has an Output selector on the VOICE page and the mixer. Disabled outputs fall back to Main.
  • Init Kit preset. A plain eight-voice kit with no processing, as the first preset.
  • New names for the parts. Following Mutable Instruments' guidelines for derivative works, the pattern generators are now Topo (after Grids) and Chance (after Marbles), and the drum engines no longer carry the Plaits / Braids names. Parameter IDs are unchanged, so sessions and presets still load.
  • About page. A built-in guide to every section, with credits and licence.
  • Licensed under GPL-3.0-or-later, with documentation for GitHub.

Install: unzip, then copy Mutadrums.clap / Mutadrums.vst3 into your plugin folder (see INSTALL.txt in each zip). macOS builds are universal (Apple Silicon and Intel) and not notarised: see INSTALL.txt for the one-line fix if macOS says the plugin is damaged.

Thanks to Emilie Gillet, whose Mutable Instruments designs this plugin is built on.
