GTA SA Minecraft v0.56

Play Minecraft and GTA San Andreas together in one world. This version brings Minecraft's chat and commands, its menus and Options screen, a creative search and Minecraft-style movement. It also fixes the bugs from the first reports.

What's new since v0.51

Fixes

• Camera stops turning after the pause menu or after switching windows (alt-tab or the Windows key): fixed. The mouse is set up again whenever you come back to the game.
• Falling through ramps and other thin GTA surfaces: fixed. You stay on top of them.
• No sounds for players without CLEO: fixed. The sound library (bass.dll) now comes with the mod in the MinecraftSA folder.

Chat and commands

• T opens the chat; / starts a command.
  • Enter sends and Up brings back what you sent.
  • Tab completes commands and item names, with suggestions above the line.
• Commands:
  • /gamemode, /time, /weather, /give, /clear, /tp, /kill, /effect, /xp
  • /summon (cows to the Warden), /setblock, /fill, /gamerule, /say, /help
  • /wanted 0-6 for GTA's police
• Coordinates: x is east, y is north, z is up. ~ means where you stand.

Creative search

• A search tab in the creative inventory: type to filter every item by name (English or Turkish) or by id.

Minecraft-style menus

• Minecraft's panorama turns behind the title screen. GTA's artwork can be chosen instead in Options.
• The title screen and the pause menu use Minecraft's layouts. The language button is a globe next to Options.
• A new Options screen:
  • Sliders for FOV, sensitivity, render distance, GUI scale and the Minecraft sounds.
  • Buttons for view bobbing, the language, the menu background and GTA's own settings.
  • Everything is saved.

Movement

• Steve turns as in Minecraft. Walking backwards or sideways he keeps facing where you look, instead of turning towards the camera.

F3 and F1

• F3 shows Minecraft's debug screen: coordinates, facing, time and the block you look at.
• F1 hides the HUD and the hand.

Install

1. GTA San Andreas for PC, version 1.0 US (gta_sa.exe), and an ASI loader.
2. Download GTA-SA-Minecraft-v0.56.zip below and extract it into the GTA San Andreas folder.
3. Start the game.

Updating from v0.51: extract over the old files. Your worlds stay.

GTA SA Minecraft v0.51

Play Minecraft and GTA San Andreas together in one world. Mine and build blocks in Los Santos, craft, survive, fight Creepers and the Warden, dig into the map with TNT, and drive off with a hotbar full of blocks.

Install

1. GTA San Andreas for PC, version 1.0 US (gta_sa.exe). Steam and Rockstar Launcher versions must be downgraded to 1.0 first.
2. An ASI loader in the GTA San Andreas folder, for example Silent's ASI Loader or Ultimate ASI Loader.
3. Download GTA-SA-Minecraft-v0.51.zip below and extract it into the GTA San Andreas folder: MinecraftSA.asi goes next to gta_sa.exe, together with the MinecraftSA folder.
4. Start the game. The Minecraft title screen appears. The game starts in English; Turkish is under Language....

You don't need Minecraft itself. To uninstall, delete MinecraftSA.asi and the MinecraftSA folder.

Highlights

• English and Turkish: every Minecraft text switches language; English by default (new in 0.51).
• Creative inventory: laid out and sorted as in Minecraft, with Redstone and Spawn Eggs tabs.
• Mobs: the Warden, the Creeper, and animals (cows, pigs, sheep, chickens). GTA pedestrians become villagers you can trade with.
• Shaped blocks: beds (sleep through the night, respawn point), stairs, slabs, fences, walls, glass panes and iron bars.
• Mine the GTA map: dig into the ground, break into buildings, mine cars. GTA vehicles and people fall into your holes.
• Survival and creative: health, hunger, XP, armour, burning, crafting and smelting with nearly 900 recipes.
