Lite Atlas 0.2.3
This maintenance release addresses findings from the Obsidian Community Plugins automated review. It does not indicate that the Community Plugins review has been approved.
Fixes and compatibility
- Preserves user-arranged dashboard panes when the plugin is disabled or reloaded, and uses a workspace activation API compatible with Obsidian 1.5.0.
- Keeps
minAppVersionat1.5.0while adopting Obsidian UI helpers for settings headings and Banner styling. - Resolves legacy Stats migration paths through the Vault's configured Obsidian config directory, including custom config directories.
- Uses window-scoped timers for better popout window compatibility.
- Cleans up the build dependency list and improves type handling and mixed synchronous/asynchronous widget refresh behavior.
Data safety
- Lite Atlas does not modify user Markdown.
- This release does not change the existing
data.jsonorstats.jsonschemas, and no data migration is required from 0.2.2.

Atlas 0.2.1
Summary
Atlas 0.2.1 is a metadata-only hotfix for the initial Community Plugins submission.
The public plugin ID has changed from atlas to lite-atlas because the previous ID was unavailable. The display name remains Atlas. This release does not change runtime behavior.
Migration
Upgrading from 0.2.0
Manual installation users should:
- Disable Atlas.
- Rename the plugin folder from
atlastolite-atlas. - Keep the existing
data.jsonandstats.jsonin the renamed folder. - Replace
manifest.json,main.js, andstyles.csswith the 0.2.1 files. - Re-enable Atlas.
Upgrading directly from 0.1.0
Follow the same steps, but rename the plugin folder from obsidian-atlas directly to lite-atlas.
The historical obsidian-atlas Stats path remains supported as a read-only legacy migration source.
Atlas 0.2.0
Added
- Persistent 52-week Markdown activity history with per-day deduplication.
- Vault create, modify, rename, move, and delete tracking with startup reconciliation.
- Versioned plugin data with idempotent migration from the 0.1 settings format.
- English and Simplified Chinese interfaces with an option to follow Obsidian's language.
- Responsive pane-width layouts and touch-sized controls for narrow desktop views.
Changed
- Banner images are resolved as Vault files, read through Obsidian's Vault API, and rendered with process-local Blob URLs.
- Statistics use the plugin's actual installation directory and recover from temporary adapter failures.
- Heatmap history is no longer reconstructed from each file's current modification time.
- The public plugin ID is now
atlas, and the display name isAtlas, to meet current Community directory naming requirements.
Privacy
- Activity remains local-only and stores only a local calendar date, Vault-relative Markdown path, and current mtime/size observation state.
- Atlas does not store note contents, frontmatter, edit counts, writing duration, or a complete edit log.
Fixed
- Invalid, absolute, UNC,
file://, and missing Banner paths now degrade safely without exposing filesystem paths to CSS. - Temporary Stats read or write failures no longer prevent the plugin from loading or permanently poison its write queue.
Known limitations
- The first activity baseline uses current file modification times and cannot reconstruct earlier daily history.
- Startup reconciliation can recover only the final observable state after offline changes.
- Atlas is released as desktop-only; narrow and mobile-emulated layouts do not constitute physical mobile-device support.
