0.31.0

Choose a tag to compare

@github-actions github-actions released this 30 Sep 19:06

🎯 What's new in v0.31.0: chat mode, reading comfort, and a much smoother Windows app

  • Chat mode. Press ⌘R (Ctrl Shift R on Windows and Linux) on any pane to see Claude's session as a clean conversation. Permission prompts become buttons, a timer shows how long Claude has been working, and the composer handles images, files, smart paste, / and @ menus, history and drafts. The real terminal keeps running underneath.
  • Talk to Claude. Hold the mic in the chat composer, or click it to toggle, to use Claude Code's own voice mode. If voice can't start, DockTerm shows Claude's reason instead of going silent.
  • Reading comfort. A Reading view of the conversation (docked or floating), a warm low-glare Reading theme, line height, letter spacing and padding with one-tap presets, and Zen mode (⌘. / Ctrl Shift .) that dims the panes you are not using.
  • Windows, much smoother.
    • No more 2 to 3 second freeze at launch: terminals now start in a background worker.
    • A slow shell start shows a dim "Starting shell…" line instead of an empty pane.
    • Restored terminal history is no longer overwritten by the new shell after a restart.
    • The native title bar is gone; the window buttons sit on DockTerm's own bar.
    • munu no longer flickers when you click it or when it changes size.
  • Shortcut changes. The Review panel moved to ⌘E / Ctrl Shift E, because ⌘R is now chat mode. On Windows and Linux, Settings and zoom now use Ctrl Shift, so plain Ctrl keys always reach your shell.
  • Safer. A security pass across the app: a trust check before reading repo git config that could run commands, stricter symlink handling in the project folder jail, update downloads that fail closed without a valid checksum, masked secrets in MCP commands, and a munu overlay that can reach only the few channels it needs.
  • A pinned munu may move once. munu now remembers where its centre is, so it stays put when its size changes. After you update, a pinned munu can sit a little to the side of where you left it; drag it back once.

All local and read-only on your own ~/.claude files. No API, no telemetry.

0.29.4

Choose a tag to compare

@github-actions github-actions released this 26 Jun 11:31

🎯 What's new in v0.29.4 — scrolling that feels native, plus fixes

  • Scrolling feels like a normal terminal again. Claude Code now renders inline by default and uses the terminal's own scrollback, so scrolling back through a conversation is smooth and native — no more fullscreen take-over. Prefer the flicker-free fullscreen TUI? Turn it on in Settings → Terminal → Claude Code fullscreen TUI.
  • munu drags reliably. Fixed the intermittent “sticking” when dragging the pinned munu mascot — it now follows your cursor every time (the drag is tracked in the main process and can no longer flip click-through mid-drag).
  • The Changes panel stays put. The floating Changes panel never pops open on its own anymore — it appears only when you click a terminal's Changes button.

All local and read-only on your own ~/.claude files — no API, no telemetry.

0.29.3

Choose a tag to compare

@github-actions github-actions released this 25 Jun 17:41

🎯 What's new in v0.29.3 — a calmer Claude workspace

Polish and quiet power for working with Claude Code — all local, no API, no telemetry.

  • Compose long prompts comfortably. Press ⌘⇧⏎ (or the ✎ next to the chat) to open a roomy editor — write 100 lines, scroll and select freely, then Insert or Send into Claude. No more wrestling the cramped input box.
  • Hover any file to preview it. Point at a file path in the output and a card appears — an image at its real aspect ratio, rendered markdown, or for a file Claude just touched, the diff itself (green/red). The card stays put so you can read and scroll it.
  • A live Changes panel, per terminal. Each terminal's controls now has a Changes button — a floating list of the files changed in that terminal's project. Click a row's triangle to expand the diff: just the changes by default, or the full file.
  • References, not raw paste. Select text in a terminal and “Send to Claude” frames it as a tidy quoted reference, leaving your cursor ready to ask about it.
  • One Claude button, more options. The launcher is now a split button: Claude to start, with a menu for Resume and Continue last.
  • No more accidental closes. Closing a terminal that's running Claude Code (or any process) asks first — so a misclick can't drop your session.

Plus fixes: the side-by-side diff no longer collapses to one column when the panel is narrow, and Linux AppImage now updates itself in place — the in-app updater swaps the new build in and restarts, no manual download-and-replace.

All local and read-only on your own ~/.claude files — no API, no telemetry.

0.27.0

Choose a tag to compare

@github-actions github-actions released this 25 Jun 08:52

🎯 What's new in v0.27.0 — a deeper Claude workflow

Seven additions that make working with Claude Code in DockTerm faster and calmer.

  • Send selected text to Claude. Select anything in a terminal and a little toolbar appears — one click drops it into Claude's prompt as a reference.
  • Checkpoints rail. A new side panel lists your prompts to Claude; click one to scroll right back to it. “Rewind” opens Claude's own /rewind so you confirm the restore. Toggle it from a terminal's controls.
  • Start Claude / Resume buttons right in each terminal's controls — run claude or claude --resume in one click.
  • Your terminals come back. Quit DockTerm (e.g. to update) and reopen — each terminal's on-screen history is restored. (claude --resume continues the conversation.)
  • Drag real files out. Multi-select files in the tree (⌘/Ctrl-click) and drag them straight into other apps — the actual files, not just their paths — or send them to Claude.
  • Cleaner copy/paste. Fixed the garbled symbols (emoji, em-dashes) when pasting on macOS, and made copy explicit instead of copy-on-select.

All local and read-only on your own ~/.claude files — no API, no telemetry.

0.26.0

Choose a tag to compare

@github-actions github-actions released this 23 Jun 13:33

🎯 What's new in v0.26.0 — see your agents working (live)

DockTerm now shows you Claude Code's sub-agents as they run — calm, cute, and completely local.

  • A live count in the top bar. A little pill shows how many agents are working right now (with a mascot leading the way). Click it for the full picture.
  • The new Activity panel. Each running agent as its own card — what it's doing, which project, how long it's taken — grouped by project, with a gentle "working" shimmer. When an agent finishes, its card celebrates and reveals what it found.
  • A creature swarm under munu. While agents run, a little family of mascots gathers beneath the floating munu and works away — so you can feel the work happening even from another app.
  • All local, all read-only. Reconstructed from your own Claude Code session files on this machine — nothing is sent anywhere, nothing is ever auto-answered. Tune it all (pill, swarm, sounds, whether to show results) in Settings → Agent activity.

0.25.10

Choose a tag to compare

@github-actions github-actions released this 20 Jun 14:14

🎯 What's new in v0.25.10 — munu drags smoothly again

  • Fixed dragging the pinned munu mascot. Moving munu around the screen could stall mid-drag — it would stop following the cursor, then later start chasing the cursor again on its own without you holding the button, leaving it stuck and twitchy. The overlay was flipping itself click-through the moment a fast drag let the cursor outrun the window, which swallowed the rest of the gesture. munu now stays grabbed for the whole drag, releases cleanly, and can never follow the cursor unless the button is actually held.

0.25.9

Choose a tag to compare

@github-actions github-actions released this 19 Jun 15:51

🎯 What's new in v0.25.9 — grab the window anywhere on the top bar

  • Drag the window from the whole top bar. Previously only a tiny sliver at the edges actually moved the window — the wide empty space between the project info and the right-hand tools didn't grab. Now that entire empty area (and the project name / branch / changed-count) drags the window, while every button and the usage pill stays fully clickable.

0.25.8

Choose a tag to compare

@github-actions github-actions released this 19 Jun 14:01

🎯 What's new in v0.25.8 — snappier, fully-visible munu

  • No more stale confirm screens. After you submit a multi-select, Claude shows a "Submit / Cancel" review — munu now switches to it instantly instead of showing the old checkboxes for a few seconds before catching up.
  • Faster reactions. munu reads Claude's state changes — asking → answered → next question, and "done" — noticeably quicker, so the card and the glow keep up with you.
  • Always fully visible. The ask-card is clamped to the screen's work area, so its bottom row (cancel / open terminal) is never clipped under the dock — even for long menus or when munu is pinned low.

0.25.7

Choose a tag to compare

@github-actions github-actions released this 19 Jun 13:25

🎯 What's new in v0.25.7 — munu reads Claude's questions correctly

  • munu: fixed phantom options. When your prompt (or Claude's own reply) left a numbered list on screen above the real menu, munu mistook those lines for choices — showing, say, 8 options when Claude only offered 4. munu now reads only the actual menu, so the option list, the highlighted row, and one-click answers all line up with Claude exactly.
  • Works for every prompt shape: yes/no permissions, single-choice, multi-select checkboxes, and multi-stage flows — no matter how many options or stages.

@github-actions github-actions released this 19 Jun 11:39

🎯 What's new in v0.25.6 — top-bar & munu fixes

  • Top bar: fixed the tool icons (and the notes popover) disappearing — they're all visible again, and still hide/return gracefully as you resize the window.
  • munu: a pinned munu no longer jumps sideways when you open its popup — it stays put, with a smoother pop-in.
