v1.5.2 - Multi-Slider Support, Typography Controls & Admin Redesign
Major update since v1.2, covering v1.3.0 → v1.5.2.
Highlights
- Multi-slider support — create, switch between, and delete multiple independent sliders (each with its own slides and autoplay setting), and embed any of them with
[hero_slider id="..."]. Existing sites are auto-migrated to a "default" slider, so old shortcodes keep working. - Per-element typography controls — independent color, font size, and font family for the heading, paragraph, and button, as both site-wide defaults and per-shortcode overrides.
- Unlimited slides per slider — Add / Duplicate / Remove, with collapsible slide cards and a live heading preview (previously hardcoded to a fixed 5).
- WordPress Media Library uploader, alt text field, and an admin warning when a slide is missing an image.
- Fully redesigned settings page — card layout, a Dark/Light mode toggle, toggle-switch controls, and an in-admin Shortcode Guide with copy-to-clipboard.

Notable bug fixes
- The
[hero_slider]shortcode was actually registered ashero-sliderand never rendered. - Frontend JS/CSS used fixed
#main-carouselIDs and a single page-wide autoplay config — two sliders on the same page would have collided. Each instance now gets a unique ID and its own settings. - Settings weren't sanitized before saving; now sanitized/escaped per field.
- Several dark-mode contrast issues: WP's own
.button/<select>styling wasn't touched by the dark-mode toggle, and a<select>'s native dropdown popup ignored our theme entirely (fixed viacolor-scheme). - A flexbox truncation bug where a slide's heading preview could overflow instead of ellipsis-truncating.
