Frameless 0.2.0

The bundled theme is now optional. Out of the box, Frameless only handles the title bar: traffic lights beside the editor tabs, and the window draggable from the empty tab strip. No colours or fonts change.

  • New setting frameless.stylesheet: path to a CSS file applied to the workbench (~/ is expanded). It's copied in at Apply, so re-run Frameless: Apply after editing it.
  • The former bundled theme is now examples/one-dark.css (One Dark colours, Operator Mono Lig). Point frameless.stylesheet at a copy of it to keep that look.
  • frameless.watermark with no stylesheet set now falls back to VS Code's own logo.

Upgrading from 0.1.x: set frameless.stylesheet first if you want the old look, then run Frameless: Apply → Relaunch.

Install: download frameless-0.2.0.vsix below, then code --install-extension frameless-0.2.0.vsix.

First release. macOS only.

  • Hides the title bar and places the traffic lights at the left of the editor tab row, with the empty tab strip draggable.
  • frameless.trafficLights ({ x, y }, default { 10, 14 }) and frameless.watermark (custom empty-editor logo).
  • Frameless: Restore VS Code files undoes everything; uninstalling restores on the next launch.

Install: download frameless-0.1.2.vsix below, then code --install-extension frameless-0.1.2.vsix.
