Fixed

  • The v0.5.29 GHCR image publish failed — the Dockerfile didn't COPY the fleet assets the wheel force-includes. hatchling's metadata generation hard-fails on a missing force-include source, and scripts/install-worker.sh wasn't in the image build context when pip install --no-deps . ran. Invisible to the PR suite by construction (the wheel-packaging test builds from a full checkout), so it fired at the one moment it could: on the tag. Fixed with the COPY, verified by a real docker build + in-image asset check, and a new deploy-lint requires every pyproject force-include source to be COPY'd before the project install — mutation-verified against the broken Dockerfile. (v0.5.29 shipped fine to PyPI; only its container image is missing, and this release supersedes it.)

Added

  • docs/agent-cookbook.md — the worked tour of driving jobd from an LLM agent. Five patterns with the real tool calls: fire-and-babysit on the ETA's own cadence (and why idle_timeout_s is non-negotiable for agent-submitted work), surviving preemption via the install_preemption_handler three-liner + resubmit-from-checkpoint, sweeps with dependency-chained collect jobs, asking the broker why a job won't schedule (warnings, live capacity, dispatch_skip events), and events-as-flight-recorder post-mortems — plus ground rules worth pasting into an agent's instructions. Writing it caught a README drift: the front page advertised jobd_job_get (long gone) and omitted jobd_events; fixed, and a new parity test pins the README's and cookbook's tool mentions to the registered _TOOLS list so neither can go stale again.
