Can't play music to individual speaker in sendspin group

The problem

When playing music to a sendspin grouped speaker (in this case via Spotify Connect), it does not play.
I would expect the individual speaker to try and ungroup from the group.

How to reproduce

Create a sendspin speaker group.
Create a spotify connect provider A targeting the group.
Create a spotify connect provider B targeting an individual speaker in the group.

Play music via B.

If the group is on then you can’t player to individual players

Is there a way to conveniently group/ungroup speakers?
My ideal use would be: select either a single speaker or a group in spotify connect.
If I select an individual speaker, music is only played through there.
If I select a sendspin group, all speakers in that group play.

You use the HA actions of join or unjoin or use the MA UI

Another option is to mark the group as 'dynamic' and just turn off / on the speakers from that group that you want to have audio playing.
