Mandatory: Carefully read the Troubleshooting FAQ and confirm that

  • I have examined the logs and tried to resolve this issue
  • I have fixed any errors in the logs that relate to tags

  • If the problem relates to a device then I have checked the device settings
  • If it is a frontend issue, I have tried a different widely used browser
  • For voice problems, I have sought help elsewhere before returning here
  • For playback problems, I have recycled power to the physical device

The problem

M.A. version 2.6.3 was OK.

How to reproduce

Add players (google home) via Chromecast provider.
Add Universal Group Player provider.
Create a Universal Group Player with dynamic members option enabled.

  1. Turn on the Universal Group Player via media_player.turn_on service. Universal Group Player goes into 'idle' state.
  2. Join a media player to the Universal Group Player with media_player.join service.
  3. The media player is correctly added as group_members of the Universal Group Player.
  4. Start playing calling media_player.play_media service.
  5. Universal Group Player goes into 'playing' state for some second but group_members become emply and Universal Group Player return into 'idle state'
